A Little Bit About The Chinese Crested

Other names the Chinese Crested is known as are:

Chinese Edible Dog
Chinese Ship Dog
Chinese Hairless
Chinese Royal Hairless
Pyramid or Giza Hairless
South African Hairless
Turkish Hairless

The crest in its name refers to a copious shock of silky hair that graces the dogs head.

The Chinese Crested is found everywhere, but has never reached great popularity. It has often been exhibited in circuses and carnivals as a freak. However, this little dog has many assets that go unrecognized.

There are two types of the Chinese Crested:

Hairless
With a full coat, which is called the Powderpuff

The Powderpuff is just about identical to the hairless except for the coat. The two are interbred and shown together. If you breed a hairless to a hairless or a Powderpuff to a hairless you can end up with either type or both types of puppies. Breeding a Powderpuff to a Powderpuff will always produce the Powderpuff type puppies.

Some authors claim the origin of the Chinese Crested is Africa. Others find its origin in Mexico or any of several other warm countries. The Chinese Crested is known to have been carried by trading ships from and to many different ports where it was bought and sold. Therefore, its origin is shrouded by sea tales.

The date of origin of the Chinese Crested is considered to be during the thirteenth century. Oriental countries concentrated on breeding miniaturized dogs, so the Chinese Crested ancestors probably include some of these small, hairless mutations.

The Chinese Crested originally enjoyed a pampered life with few duties except those associated with being a good companion. Very early in the development of the Chinese Crested breed it was probably used as a ratter on trading ships and was even sometimes eaten by human residents of these trading ships (how horribly awful to think of eating such a beautiful creature).

Personality

The Chinese Crested is said to be a nimble and cunning playmate. He is a vigilant and sensitive house dog. The Chinese Crested is a loving and obedient pet. He socializes well with other pets and is only a little cautious of strangers. The Chinese Crested is lively and active, but is rarely seen in agility contests. He is easily trained and should do well in obedience work.

Appearance

The Chinese Crested is fine-boned and graceful. He stands about 11 to 13 inches tall and weighs 5 to 12 pounds. He is athletic-looking and well muscled. The legs of a Chinese Crested are straight and strong. The Chinese Crested has a copious shock of silky hair that graces his head. Hair is absent over much of the remainder of its body except for tufts of hair on the tail and feet.

The Powderpuff has a flowing double coat of silky hair that covers its entire body. It is seen in any coat color or combination of colors.

Exercise Requirements

As with most toy breeds the Chinese Crested needs a minimal amount of exercise which can be obtained in your backyard.

Grooming

The Chinese Crested needs to be kept clean with frequent baths using a good shampoo followed by a moisturizer like baby oil or baby lotion. This routine is especially true for the hairless type.

The Powderpuff requires regular brushing and combing. The teeth need cleaning regularly.

You will need a good-quality bristle brush and a safety razor (to shave the face) for the Hairless variety. For the Powderpuff coat you will need a good-quality bristle brush, a wide-toothed comb and clippers.

The skin of the Hairless type responds well to frequent oiling by massaging baby oil or Nivea face cream into the hairless parts. This helps to keep the skin on the Chinese Crested Hairless type smooth and nicely moisturized.

The Powderpuff puppy requires frequent brushing with a bristle or pin brush particularly when the puppy coat changes to the adult coat, at which time daily grooming may be needed. The coat of a Powderpuff Chinese Crested should be brushed in layers with the lie of the coat.

After bathing, grooming and blow-drying, the face should be shaved using clippers (10 mm blade). Take a line from the outer corner of the eye to the ear and in a gentle curve from the ear down to the Adams apple. This cut is similar to the face of a Poodle. In the U.S. the Powderpuff face is not shaved. Finish off the entire body with a wide-toothed comb if desired. The comb will find any remaining tangles in the coat. Of note in the Chinese Crested is that the dogs nails should be moderately long.

Punishment is a controversial subject in dog training, though it is widely used by both traditional and positive trainers.

The most common punishment is positive punishment. It consists in stopping an undesired behavior by adding an unpleasant thing or situation. Therefore, leash tugs are positive punishments.

On the other hand, negative punishment consists in stopping an undesired behavior by removing a pleasant thing or situation. Thus, you would be applying negative punishment if you remove a food treat or a toy from your dog's sight.

Positive punishment is widely used by traditional trainers and seldom used by positive trainers. Negative punishment is mostly used by positive trainers and seldom used by traditional trainers.

Typical positive punishers in dog training are: a pinch from the prong collar, an unpleasant and perhaps painful sensation when the choke chain closes, the "No" command, water squirts on the dog's face, loud sounds produced by objects thrown near the dog, electric shocks produced by electric collars and electric fences, etc.

Typical negative punishers in dog training are: ignoring your dog, a food treat removed from the scene, a toy removed from the scene, the end of a game, the end of a walk, stopping the walk when the dog pulls the leash, etc.

Although punishment is so widely used to train dogs, even in positive training, most trainers are not aware of its risks and limitations. Both positive and negative punishments could produce collateral adverse effects which include stress, anxiety and a reduction of learning abilities. Besides, when used too often, punishments could also lead to shyness and/or aggression. Of course, negative punishment tend to have less (or at least less intense) adverse effects.

Another disadvantage of punishment is that it has no long term effects. While you can use punishment to stop your dog from doing an unwanted behavior, this does not ensure that the behavior's frequency will be reduced. Punished behaviors tend to be maintained when the punishment is not applied frequently. That is the reason why prong, choke and electric collars are used even on dogs that have already being trained.

Despite the short term span of punishment, punished behaviors' frequency seems to be reduced in dogs that have been trained in such way. However, this usually is an erroneous interpretation because those behaviors don't appear when the punisher (maybe the trainer) is present. Then, after the punisher has been removed, the frequency of those behaviors tends to increase again.

It is very easy to see what I explained in the previous paragraph. Just look for a traditional trained dog which has not been trained by his owner. The dog will work perfectly when the trainer is present but stop working when the trainer is absent. Therefore, you can infer that the dog experiences some kind of anxiety when the trainer is present, because that man is somehow associated with punishment.

This does not mean that traditional trainers are cruel or violent. Of course there are stupid and cruel guys who call themselves trainers, but most traditional trainers can train dogs that obey happily and without fear. However, to achieve this level of training while using punishment and negative reinforcement, you must be very experienced. It is not easy to become a good traditional dog trainer.

A similar situation occurs when using negative punishment. For instance, you can stop your dog from jumping on you just by ignoring him when that behavior is displayed. However, it takes just one reinforcing episode (giving attention to your dog when he jumps on you) to take back the unwanted behavior. Even worst, it is very likely that the jumping behavior will be strengthened by that reinforcing episode, so you will need much more time to retrain your dog.

Ok, at this point it seems that this article is just an anti-punishment propaganda. Please believe me, it is not such thing. Punishment could be useful to train animals, which has been proven by scientific studies on experimental psychology. However, it could also have really big drawbacks.

So, if you are thinking to use punishment to train your dog, please don't rely only on reading about it. Call an expert and ask him/her to teach you the proper way to use punishments. And please don't believe the false statement that "choke chains, prong collars and electric collars are not punishing devices, but corrective ones". They are punishers. Therefore, if you are going to use those devices to train your dog, learn it from an expert.

On the other hand, you have a lot of alternatives to train your dog without punishment. There are several proven methods to stop your dog from doing unwanted behaviors without using punishment: training an incompatible behavior, putting the unwanted behavior on command, reinforcing every behavior except the undesired one, changing the motivation, etc.

Home bound workers can either consider telecommuting or freelancing. While telecommuting may keep you out of your home for some hours a week, online freelancing is a good way to make money if you are forced to stay at home. For example, homemakers, part-time students, retired folk, or others who wish to supplement their income from jobs or businesses can all consider freelancing.

Freelance Skill Sets

You can start earning as a freelancer as long as you have skills that someone is willing to pay for. For example, writers, web designers, photographers, and programmers can earn a substantial income by creating articles, websites, portfolios and software from home. The Internet is a hot and viable source of income for freelancers from around the world. Your target customers can be webmasters, online business owners, blog owners etc. For example, blogs and wikis are hot sources of income for freelance writers nowadays, and there's no reason why you can't tap into this market if you possess good writing skills.

Freelance Income

On the flip, your income may fluctuate from one month to another. As with all businesses, freelancing does not guarantee a stable paycheck at the end of the month. So keep a small kitty reserve for dry days or have another source of income for which you can work part-time. Be prepared to accept boring, low-level work initially just to keep the cash flow strong. Once you get a good reputation for providing original, high-quality work at reasonable price, then clients will flock to you.

Freelance Advantages

Probably the best thing about freelancing is that you get to work at your pace, in your own hours, from home, and be your own boss. That means, your shop is open 24x7. And as long as you provide good quality work and meet deadlines, your clients will remain happy with you.

In order to be visible, you also need to be seen and heard in the right places, like forums, blogs, online groups, etc. Spend time everyday to visit such sites because they are invaluable repository of freelance gigs and email addresses of prospects. Alternatively you can sign up with freelance sites like Elance.com, GetAFreelancer.com and Scriptlance.com where you can start bidding on projects and snag a few as early as today!

To conclude, a freelance business is one of the best ways to earn money from home and to work for your own self. If you've got a fair amount of time on your hands, maybe you too should consider freelancing as your full-time career alternative or supplementary income source.

(Hint: While you can find plenty of lucrative freelance assignments on Elance, the other sites mentioned above generally tend to feature lesser-paid projects. However, if you're just starting out as a freelancer, the competition on Elance can prove to be really tough. So you might want to first try GAF and Scriptlance to build up your portfolio, and then go for Elance.)

Ideally, a doghouse should be situated with a southern or eastern exposure in order to benefit from the morning sun and remain in the shade during the hottest hours of the day. It should also be sheltered from strong winds, since dogs are more susceptible to drafts than they are to cold.

The construction should be suited to the climate, well ventilated, and if necessary, insulated. The floor should be raised a few inches above the ground in order to avoid dampness. The house should be cozy enough for him to turn around in when he is in an adult size, with the interior one-third higher than he is.

The doorway or entrance should be no larger than the dog, with a solid leak proof roof, sloped for drainage. The floor should be solid and easy to clean, with wood being the preferred material. A thick layer of bedding, at least two inches, is ideal. Shredded newspapers, cedar chips, old rugs or blankets kept clean by renewal or laundering will keep him warm and comfortable.

A well-kept doghouse should be checked every day for cleanliness, washed down with disinfectant once a month and the bedding changed whenever it is damp or dirty. You can buy a doghouse from large pet-supply firms, or have one built to measure by a local carpenter or lumber yard. Plans are available if you wish to build it yourself.

If your dog is going to live outdoors, buy him in the spring so that he will become accustomed to outdoor life before cooler weather sets in. If he is less than five or six months old, keep him in the house at first, and move him to his outdoor quarters only when he is older and stronger and he has grown an adult coat. If you follow these guidelines, you can rest assured that your pet will remain comfortable during any season.

Randy Jones and his partner Brent Jones have been in the pet industry for a long time. Recently they formed http://www.joncopets.com. On the site, customers can read articles about anything pets as well as shop for the latest pet supplies, dog collars and more.

The Shih Tzu (pronounced Sheet-sue) has a lot of spunk and is a very alert and resilient dog. Like all dogs in the Toy dog group, Shih Tzus have a lot of character and are courageous for their size. Throughout history they were raised as pampered pooches in the Imperial Chinese Court. Bred in the forbidden city of Peking, the Shih Tzu didnt leave China until the early 20th century when they first appeared in Britain. Today they are a popular breed worldwide.

Shih Tzus are good watchdogs and eagerly alert their owners to the approach of strangers. He does enjoy barking, but rarely does so without reason. He is very clever and responds well to persistent training. Without training the Shih Tzu will become extremely overprotective of their owner and aggressive towards other people.

Children and Shih Tzus get along famously as long as the child understands how to play with the dog. A Shih Tzu will not tolerate teasing young children and will snap at them. The Shih doesnt mind the presence of other family pets, but his true joy is when he is in the company of his human family.

One of the aspects about Shih Tzus that surprise many owners is the fact that this breed is very active despite his small size. At his tallest, the Shih Tzu only stands 11 inches, and weighs no more than 16 pounds. Nevertheless, although this breed can be really active when it wants to be, they can also be quite lazy and will lie in their favorite spots whenever they have the chance. Therefore, it is important that the Shih Tzu receives the exercise he needs to make sure he doesnt become overweight.

Due to the fact that Shih Tzus are small dogs and they are relatively inactive indoors, they make fantastic apartment dogs and wonderful dogs for seniors. Furthermore, the Shih Tzu is an ideal dog for anyone who has allergies as his coat does not shed. Of course, the down side to most non shedding dog is the required daily grooming of their coat the Shih Tzu is no exception.

The Shihs coat is available in almost every color and bi-color combination. If kept long, the coat will need to be brushed a few times a day to keep it free from mats. His eyes will need to be cleaned to discourage the build up of discharge that can lead to eye infections. The owner will also need to make sure the hair on top of the Shih Tzus head is kept tied up and out of the dogs eyes to avoid aggravating them. The Shih Tzu should have a bath every month, and should be trimmed every few months to keep the desired look.

As with any pet, owning a dog is a huge commitment that must be met for the entire life of a dog. The average lifespan of a Shih Tzu is 15 years or more. Considering he has a decent life expectancy for a canine, it should come as no surprise that this breed does not suffer any major hereditary health defects. Nevertheless, no dog is perfect. The Shih Tzu is still susceptible to illnesses. The health issues that appear to be the most common in the breed include ear, eye, respiratory, back and teeth problems.

The Shih Tzu will bring plenty of joy and happiness to anyone willing to share their life and affection with this regal and loving dog.

Richard Cussons cares about dogs of all breeds and the Shih Tzu in particular. You can find out more about Shih Tzus at http://www.shihtzusavvy.com/.

The differences between online poker and more traditional poker table games are sometimes not as obvious as they may seem.

Unlike sitting down at a poker table with friends, online poker has an added dimension these days. There is a lot of pressure from many quarters to make online poker illegal, particularly in the United States. You will almost always know if the table game you are playing is in an area where poker is legal, but it is getting harder to know if this is true about poker played online.

In spite of these gray areas, millions in the U. S. and around the world regularly enjoy participating in online poker games from the comfort of their own homes. Just to give this some perspective, in 2005, the revenue from online poker was reported to be in the vicinity of $200 million.

Not only is online poker generating huge amounts of revenue and creating new millionaires, among players, site owners, and affiliates of poker sites, but, due to its pervasive influence, the appeal of poker in general is growing. The public is not only gaining knowledge about poker, but is showing an interest in all things poker. From the tables to the chips at the table, to the people who play at the tables, poker is huge.

Poker players such as Chris Ferguson (Jesus), Annie Duke, and her brother Howard Lederer (The Professor), and Hoyt Corkins (The Alabama Cowboy), to name a few, had never been heard of by the public a few months ago. Now they are celebrities in their own right. Even people who have been celebrities, such as Jennifer Tilly, Ben Affleck, and Mimi Rogers have traded in the bright lights of Hollywood for the green felt of the poker table - at least on occasion.

While many of these famous people play in tournaments sitting at the table with the celebrities of poker, most mortals enter the poker arena via online poker websites such as partypoker.com, pokerstars.com, ultimatebet.com or fulltiltpoker.com.

Sitting at a poker table can be intimidating, particularly for the new player and just is not that inviting for the beginner. They are apt to feel out of their league, and, if others at the table have more experience or are strangers, they are apt to feel intimidated.

The online poker experience is quite different. There is an anonymity which protects the psyche of the "newbie". They can watch games as long as they want before actually taking part. Additionally, most online venues will have tutorials and practice games for beginners that help ease the learning process. Sometimes the main site will actually have a completely separate site set up strictly for the beginner. Another helper for the beginner is that online games tend to have buttons labeled for the various actions and often include on-screen prompts for the appropriate action.

Internet poker sites also offer a range of limits so that the beginning player can actually start betting pennies. Not only is the betting easy, but so is the access. Unlike a table game, an online game can be found 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world that there is a computer and an Internet connection.

There are, however, two drawbacks to playing online, particularly if one's goal is to eventually participate in the highly televised poker tournaments occupying more prime time slots on TV. First, there is the hurdle of actually sitting and playing at the table itself. No amount of online preparation can duplicate or offset the first few times you find yourself in a chair across from a Doyle Brunson, Chris Moneymaker, or Daniel Negreanu.

Second, although it IS possible, it is exceedingly difficult to bluff at an online poker game and even harder to learn how to read your opponents.

Look on the bright side, however. It IS easy to learn basic poker skills and improve your technique online, and you won't have to worry about your poker face!

A skunks spray is one of the most unpleasant odors there is to a humans nose. Putting your dog outside in the yard, hearing a commotion and finding out a skunk has sprayed your pet is not only terrible but also very smelly. A skunks spray is yellowy oil, which they spray or mist from up to almost twenty feet away when they feel like they are in danger. Many dogs end up sprayed because they try to defend their property and the skunk usually wins.

The first words of advice are do not bring your dog inside after it has been skunked as it will take forever to get the smell out of your house. The skunk odor will permeate anything porous such as beds, sofas, towels, untreated wood and plasterboard. Check your pets eyes to see if the skunk got spray in them. If it did your dogs eyes will appear red. This sometimes causes temporary blindness that usually lasts from ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse your dogs eyes with a saline solution or use eye-drops for a human or olive oil, to help relieve the eye irritation. Take your pet to the veterinarian if the dogs eyes continue to be red or irritated.

The treatment you use on your dog is far more effective if you do it before the skunks spray has had a chance to dry on your pet. The first order of business is putting on old clothes and rubber gloves, that you will not feel bad about, if you throw them away after. Do not shampoo the whole dog, just the area affected, as you do not want the odor spreading onto the rest of your pet. Before you grab the tomato juice, be aware that it will not remove the skunk odor, just mask it.

Here is a concoction that successfully works at eliminating that terrible skunk odor on your pet. In a large open bowl or container, pour in one quart of three percent hydrogen peroxide, one teaspoon of any type of liquid dishwashing soap and one-quarter cup of baking soda or sodium bicarbonate. When mixed together, the mixture foams and this is the best time to use it. Hydrogen peroxide is available in drug stores and some people feel that joy dishwashing detergent works the best. There are commercial skunk deodorizer removers available but they do not always do a good job.

While the mixture is still foaming, wet down the area of the dog that the skunk sprayed. After leaving the lather in the fur up to ten minutes, use tap water to rinse this area thoroughly. Repeat this if necessary. For dogs sprayed in the face by a skunk, very carefully apply the mixture with a cloth, making sure to keep it out of your pets eyes, nose and mouth. Make this solution only when you need it and always discard the unused solution, after you mix it together, as it will explode if covered or stored.

If the skunk sprayed your house or fence etc, there are commercial products available to remove the skunk odor. To keep skunks from wanting in your yard, make sure the garbage pails lids fit tightly, do not keep dog food outside and close any spaces that makes a comfortable place for skunks to live, such as under cement steps.

Kelly Marshall hates skunk odor. But she loves shopping at http://www.ohmydogsupplies.com to find really cool dog gear that isn't sold at the local pet store.

As you may have figured out, horses do not seem to speak our language. That is why we must learn to adapt and speak theirs. Have you noticed the swivel of their ears, the movements of their hips and the expressions on their face? These things are the way horses communicate with each other and us.

In order to understand their language first we must understand what our body language says to them. Waving arms around in a desperate attempt to get the halter on is sure to cause some alarm. Running towards them in a pasture instead of approaching them calmly can give them the image of a surprise attack by a predator. Remember, when it comes down to it, no horse is bombproof so when you are around your horse make sure your body language is slow and calm. Keeping yourself calm is the first step to helping a horse remain calm.

Horses speak with both ends of their body - unlike us humans who speak with only the top half. Not only are the back and front the ends where the signals come from they are also the ends where injuries to humans come from, so watch what they are telling you.

EARS BACK

Almost all horse people know that when a horse has his/her ears laid flat back something is amiss. The horse could be frightened or in most cases angry. This is a time to watch both ends of the horses body carefully.

Yet this gesture is not always dangerous. The horse could either be listening to commands or noises coming from behind or just be resting out of boredom. As you come to know your horse you will begin to learn the true difference.

EARS FOWARD

Not really anything to worry about right? Happy horses have their ears forward - sometimes but not always. As a horse directs his or her attention to something its ears usually follow. Also ears sticking up high can be signs of mischief or the horse being very alert. Good time to remind your horse you are in charge if his/her attention span flies around during your ride.

GROOMING

Most people approach grooming as something that just needs to be done and nothing else. In truth grooming your horse establishes a bond with you and that horse just as a horse would bond with other horses through grooming in the wild.

If you treat a horse roughly or only do a quick once over with the brush the horse can only assume you are a rough or harsh handler. Whereas if you spend a lot of time grooming and caring for the horse you create a trusting bond with it.

How much money would you like to earn from your book, I ask my client.

From her facial reaction, I know that the question resonates as if I am asking how much her child is worth. It is challenging to most writers to think in terms of dollars and cents.

Thats why I ask.

The romantic myth that money somehow sullies the creative process is, in reality, a bigger obstacle to your publication goals than not having an agent. Its not that your goal has to be to get rich from your book, although that is a perfectly fine goal to have. Its that understanding the ebb and flow of money in your publishing life creates a positive perception about you as an author prospect. When you have defined expectations, you project confidence, commitment and focus.

To clarify your financial focus, I offer three questions to help you center on where you are today, and three questions to help you establish your financial goals.

1. What is your motivation for writing the book? How will the book serve your career and/or life purpose?

2. How do you promote your image now? Do you do workshops or publish articles?

3. What are your long-term career goals as a writer? Currently, is writing a hobby or a business? Do you report your income and/or expenses on your income tax?

Here are three questions to help you establish your financial goals.

1. Identify two books that are similar to yours in your publishing category. What is the LIST (cover) price of each one? Assume it is a hard cover book and that you would receive a 10% list royalty from the publisher (for paperback, assume a 7.5% royalty). Then, calculate how much you would earn if the book sold 5,000 copies, 7,500 copies, and so on.

2. Using the amount you would like to earn as a guide, how much of that money would you like to retain as income and how much are you willing to invest in publicity or direct selling, independent of what the publisher plans to do for your book?

3. Given what you plan to invest in the marketing and promotional effort and in the time you will invest in writing the book, what is the ideal advance amount you would like to negotiate with the publisher?

Every editor comes to the contract negotiation with numbers in mind. He or she has made a decision about the market value of your work. If you do the same, you are in the position to have thorough discussion about mutual expectations. Make a list of the items that are most important to you.

Finally, make a financial calendar that will help you visualize when you will be incurring expenses versus when you anticipate receiving your advance payments or income from other sources.

Whether you are an author with a commercial publisher or you are self-publishing, you have the power to make your project a financial success on your terms.

Believe in yourself, your talent and your ability to value your work. Now, go forth and prosper.

The terms "bull" and "bear" are often associated with vertical spreads. This leads most people to think of vertical spreads as directional plays, which is true. Vertical spreads can also be used to take advantage of two other potential trading opportunities - time decay and volatility movement.

Using Vertical Spreads to Take Advantage of Time Decay

If you are looking for a fully hedged way to take advantage of time decay, a vertical spread can be an excellent tool. It has a limited profit potential, but a limited loss scenario for both the buyer and the seller.

At-the-money options have more extrinsic value than their similar month in-the-money or out-of-the-money options. Since it is an option's extrinsic value that decays over time, you can set up a vertical spread by selling an at-the-money option and buying either an out-of-the-money option (creating a credit spread) or an in-the-money option (creating a debit spread). If the stock holds tight to the out-of-the-money option, the option's extrinsic value will decay at a faster rate than the in-the-money option or out-of-the-money option. This is because the at-the-money option has more total extrinsic value to decay in the same amount of time as the others.

Creating the vertical spread by selling an at-the-money option and buying an out-of-the-money or in-the-money option as a hedge looks like a good idea. Now, there are a couple choices. Should you do the put or call spread? Should you buy or sell it? You should base your decision of what to do on which way you think the stock will move. Although you are playing for time decay and you are assuming an overall lack of movement, you cannot expect the stock not to move at all. So even though you are playing time decay, you still want to form an opinion on in which direction the stock is most likely to move. Doing this, you have now given yourself another way of making the trade profitable. You are playing for a lack of movement but now you can still win if you pick the right direction. This scenario presents you with two ways to win and only one to lose.

Now that you have picked which at-the-money strike you are going to sell and you have picked your anticipated stock position, you still have a decision to make. Do you do the call vertical spread or the put vertical spread? Remember, both the vertical call spread and vertical put spreads allow you to participate in either stock direction. For the bulls, you can buy a vertical call spread or sell a vertical if you think that the stock will go up.

For the bears, you can buy a vertical put spread or sell a vertical call spread.

There are two choices to decide from for each direction. One is a purchase. The other is a sale. The best way to decide which one to do, other than your own style or comfort, is a simple risk/reward analysis. By selecting an at-the-money option to sell as part of a vertical spread, an investor can execute a time decay play with a hedged position.

Using Vertical Spreads as a Volatility Play

Vertical spreads are also usable as a volatility play. We stated earlier that an at-the-money option has more extrinsic value than other options in its expiration month. This is due to a number of contributing factors including time and largely volatility. An option's dollar sensitivity to movements in implied volatility is known as Vega. Obviously, an at-the-money option will have a higher Vega (volatility sensitivity) than an in-the-money or out-of-the-money option in the same month.

As volatility increases, the at-the-money option will increase in price to a greater degree than will an in-the-money or out-of-the-money option. As volatility increases, the at-the-money option will increase in price to a greater degree than will an in-the-money or out-of-the-money option with a lesser Vega.

Conversely, the at-the-money option will lose value at a greater rate than an in-the-money or out-of-the-money option should implied volatility decrease. The question is how to use the vertical spread to take advantage of anticipated movements in implied volatility. Remember, the vertical spread affords you the luxury of being hedged on either side of the trade - both as a buyer and as a seller of the spread.

If you think that implied volatility is likely to increase, you can set up a vertical spread by buying an at-the-money option and selling either the in-the-money or out-of-the-money option against it. If you feel that implied volatility will decrease, you can set up a vertical spread by selling an at-the-money option and buy either an out-of-the-money or an in-the-money option against it.

To set it up, you would follow the same guidelines for setting up a vertical spread to take advantage of time decay. Decide which direction you feel the stock would most likely move. If you feel it is likely to rise, you must decide between buying a vertical call spread and selling a vertical put spread.

Either way, the spread will have to be constructed with the at-the-money option being long if you feel volatility will increase or short if you feel volatility will decrease. If you feel the stock would most likely fall, you will have to decide between buying a vertical put spread and selling a vertical call spread. Either way, the spread must be constructed with the short option being the at-the-money.

As you can see, the vertical spread is not restricted to directional scenarios. It is very versatile allowing the investor several choices among a diverse group of potential uses. It also affords limited risk, albeit limited profit potential, to the buyer and the seller.

Shopping around for mortgages is so popular these days that many people can be excused for thinking that switching lenders is the only way to save money on your home loan. But there is a much easier way that does not require phone calls, computers connected to the internet, or trips to your bank or building society.

Did you know, for instance, that making overpayments on your mortgage can slash thousands of pounds off your interest bill? Additionally, it will cut the length of time taken to repay your home loan so you get to own your home sooner.

Imagine, say, that you have a 100,000 repayment mortgage, with a 25-year term and an interest rate of 6%. Your monthly payments will be 644, and after 25 years you will have paid back a total of 193,290. In other words you will have paid back 1.93 for every pound borrowed.

If, however, you were to overpay your mortgage by just 50 each month, your total payment would be reduced to 177,279 -- a saving of over sixteen grand in interest. Furthermore, this overpayment shortens the length of the mortgage by 45 months, which means almost four extra years of bliss.

Its is worth being prudent though and ensuring that your will not be penalised by your lender for changing your standing order or making overpayment. In the main, most flexible mortgage lenders will allow you to make overpayments of up to 10% each year. But if your lender doesn't allow this, you have another trick up your sleeve!

Lessening the term of your mortgage from 25 years to 21 years would increase your payments in exactly the same way as overpaying by 50 each month. Mind you, this is a much harsher way to do it because payments are fixed. However, it doesn't prevent you from increasing your term again, should you need to, by simply writing to your provider.

At the end of the day, paying off your mortgage early is simply the best and least risky ways of saving money. By making overpayments to your mortgage of around 6%, your money would be working harder than if you had invested it into a savings account with 7% earnings.5% for a basic-rate taxpayer. For a higher-rate taxpayer, this risk-free and tax-free rate is equivalent to 10%, which is practically unbeatable!

Many people forget that even though we sign up for a 25-year mortgage term there is no earthly reason why we have to stick to this. If you have any extra cash each month, using it against your mortgage can make a huge difference and it can save you thousands of pounds in interest each year.

Good luck on removing that mortgage millstone from around your neck!

When I first found the easy chair millionaire it kind a reminded me of the rich jerk. Someone lazy, laid back, and loving life. I bought the rich jerk, and loved what he has to say. So I thought to myself this was probably like the rich jerk, and bought it.

I have to say his attitude in like the rich jerk but the information and the how to guides where a ton of help for me. I really liked the fact that I didnt need to do to much work, as I can be a very lazy person myself sometimes. A lot of it was already done for me. Of course I had to do some work but not nearly as much as I thought.

The easy chair millionaire took me by the hand and showed me exactly what I had to do. Most people claim to have the answer to everything, and claim to help show you the way. Well the easy chair millionaire defiantly lives up to its name.

The steps where easy to follow, and where so simple even a beginner could do this. There is nothing you will not be able to understand. He has put together one of the best dummy proof systems I have seen in a long time. This isnt the first product I bought like this. But the easy chair millionaire is by far in my top 3 that I have purchased.

If you are searching for a successful program that will show you how to make extra money online. I highly recommend you take a look at what the easy chair millionaire has to say. You will not be disappointed at all.

You would think in todays world making money online would be the simplest thing in the world, right? I mean you take something youre interested in, or a product you have to market, you create a website, buy some place to put the website and bang your making money, right?

No!

Ok, i hear you say, but hang on the search engines will pick it up and traffic will come wont it? Well actually yes they will pick it up (if you submit it) but just because you are now on the web doesnt mean you are the next Amazon.com or intelliMarket.net. The fact is you need to be pro-active and drag people to your site by advertising in the right manner.

So why do you need traffic? & How do you get traffic to your site?

Well the fact is, and this is a secret you need to remember because everyday I am shocked as to how many people dont know this... The fact is there is a buyer for every product out there.

Thats right!

It doesnt matter what you sell or what service you provide, one of the billion plus people who use the internet every day is going to be interested. The trick is in finding enough of those one billion people who are interested to (a) get you to breakeven point & (b) make a sustainable profit that provides a good income from.

So how do you find people who are interested in your product?

You dont. (What!) i hear you say... but what happens is they find you. Ill say that again so you understand They find you!

Thats right you need to create an internet marketing network so that whenever someone types in for example internet marketing into a search engine, like Google, your results come up. Ill tell you now that you just wont do that by submitting one website to search engines the network you must create needs to be very wide and specific to your area of product or service.

The methods of forming this network are the subject of a different article but the point is so important that i have dedicated an entire article about it. I see far too many people falling down and giving up, not because they had a bad idea but because they didnt know how to bring traffic to their site.

Internet marketing is the essence of making money online. If anyone is reading this and is think about selling anything on the web my best advice is to learn how to market on the internet before anything else.

When you learn how to market on the internet you can take any product or service and make money online from it. The sea will get a lot smaller and you will be the fisherman with the largest net.

See you in the winners circle.

Taking your dog with you when you travel, whether you go by land, air or sea, can present real problems. I know - I do 100k miles a year, and most of them I get to take Beck with me. It's worth the extra hassle, no question. But what tips can I offer you?

Air travel with your dog

It takes most dogs a long time to get used to traveling by plane. It took Beck about 6 flights before he stopped getting stressed about it. The big thing is to make sure your dog knows that it's just a temporary thing - to a woofer, a flight can seem to last forever! Each airline has their own set of rules - you need to check these before the flight. No good turning up and finding you are denied access to the plane because you didn't bone up on the regs!

Number one tip is - get a vet to sign a health certificate for your dog certifying that he has no diseases. Also make sure the dog is up to scratch on his anti-flea programme, and bring documentary evidence with you if you can. No airline wants a flea infested plane! Check his dog tags. Make sure YOUR contact details are there and easy to read. If you do get separated, this ensures you'll be re-united fast. For the same reason, you carry a photo of your dog in your wallet.

Number 2 tip - no food for Fido for 6 hours before the flight, and no water for 2 hours before. We wouldn't want any nasty 'accidents' now, would we???!!! Also put a note on his crate saying what his eating and drinking needs are - if the flight gets delayed, the ground staff will have a duty to live up to these.

Number 3 tip - buy a crate big enough for your dog to stand up in. Only buy custom made crates from your pet shop. Buy one that is designed for the rigors of air transport. NEVER try to 'get by' with any old crate. Trust me - your dog will thank you for the gift! Also remember that the airline you are using may have specific requirements for cases that go in the hold. Check the livestock regs.

Car Travel with your Dog

Tip 1 - Just like air travel, make sure your dog has all his ID with him, and you carry a photo. Even in the car, keep him leashed. Dogs have been known to get excited and leap out the window. Bad things happen on the freeway!

Tip 2 - Always book your hotel or motel ahead of time. If they don't allow dogs, you will be turned away whether or not you have a booking. I learned this the hard way with Beck - sleeping in a car ain't fun!

Tip 3 - acclimatization. Get your dog used to trips - start out with short trips, and gradually extend them. Let him experience the aircon, and maybe even stick his head out the window (dogs love this - make sure he's on the leash first, and that there is no contra traffic!)

These tips have enabled Beck and I to enjoy many great trips together, and believe me, it's nice to have some company on those long empty miles! If you like Beck, please vote for him on the petmillions.com contest at Vote for Beck in the petmillions contest!

Terry Hanson is in sales, but doesn't like to be separated from his pooch Beck, who is entered in the http://www.petmillions.com/ pet contest.

Did you know that some laser printer cartridges are worth over $20.00 each? Many people are throwing money down the drain. I'll tell you how you can make money or even start a part or full time business. The cartridge remanufacturing business is growing by leaps and bounds. There are now Franchises setting up businesses across the US By the thousands. Empty ink and toner cartridges are in high demand and the demand is growing rapidly even some of the small ink cartridge empties are selling for $6.00. Some empty toner cartridges are worth over $20.00. There are companies that specialize in buying empty toner cartridges. You can easily find them by doing a search on Goggle or any Search Engine. Just type in Cartridge recyclers and several will show up. Some of the companies will even give you a business plan and tell you the best methods for collecting the empties. Typically they will buy in small or large quantities. Sign up is free and they will have a price list that you can print out. This is one business that you can start with virtually no money.

Not all cartridges are suitable for recycling. Type one has the print head built into the cartridge this is the one to collect as they are the expensive ones suitable for recycling .You can tell these by the brass colored electronics on the back of the cartridge and the brass colored print head Type two is just a plastic container with a sponge in it. Ink is injected into the sponge these are very inexpensive to produce and several companies make compatible cartridges that is very inexpensive. Hewlett Packard and Lexmark are the main one that you will need to find. Lexmark makes many printers for other companies like Compaq and Xerox for example. So these are the good ones also The ones to ignore are Epsons, Brothers, most Canons and some Xerox cartridges. I have found one company that takes Epson's.

So far we have been talking mostly about ink cartridges. There's probably more money to be made in recycling the toner cartridges. These are the cartridges used in laser printers and many businesses use as well as some home printers almost all of these are recyclable. You can get a list from the company you sign up with. You can companioned with a recycling company to stockpile and recycle empty printer inkjet cartridges, and empty toner cartridges from laser printers and copiers. For every empty cartridge that is sent, you will receive you payment and usually All shipping supplies and fees are pre-paid by the recycling company so there is no cost to you.

Nearly a million "empties" are thrown away in the United States every day, so they shouldn't be hard to find. Don't hesitate to be creative! Here are a few examples of how some people have gotten involved. A member in Ohio ordered a tabletop baggie aerosol dispenser and printed several of them She made a small display in the waiting room of her dentist's office promoting awareness and support . A family in New Jersey has been gathering empty toner cartridges and inkjets from the local school district. There are several buildings in the district and they all use printers and copiers. They collect the empties every week or so from the schools and send them in. To date, they have gathered and shipped ended 1,000 empties! Several people have taken collection boxes to their work place. Generally, people are very supportive of the recycling effort and are excited to participate. Why recycle cartridges? Recycling unceasingly large amounts of plastics outof landfills. Every year over 300 million cartridges are thrown away. This means for year-end cartridge, about 2.5 pounds of plastic is thrown into a landfill. It will never go away!

Recycling saves natural resources. To imagine a single new laser cartridge, over 3 quarts of oil are used. In contrast, a recycled cartridge only requires 1 quart of oil to be able to be reused. Recycling saves two quarts of oil per cartridge. This year alone, toner cartridge remanufacturing will save over eleven million (11,000,000) gallons of oil.

With rising costs of living, employee downsizing, corporate layoffs, constantly increasing gas prices and long commutes to work, more and more people find it now necessary to find a work at home job or to start a home based business. A vast majority of these individuals turn to the internet for their work at home salvation. There are literally thousands of work at home and home based business opportunities out there on the World Wide Web but of course all that glitters is not gold.

Upwards of 90% of the marketed home based businesses I would say are scams. These are schemes designed with the sole purpose of making the individual marketing the product to you rich, while you are left holding the bag as it were. Having said this however there are many legitimate home based business opportunities on the internet. The problem then is weeding out the good from the bad. Unfortunately this is a matter if trial and error and a LOT of research.

Finding legitimate opportunities to make money from home can become an extremely time consuming and ultimately a very expensive undertaking. There are a few things one must look for when searching for a legitimate work at home job or home based business opportunity. Any aspiring web entrepreneur must look for these important factors before selecting any work at home business opportunity, work at home job or affiliate program.

The first thing you should do is to review their standing with the various Business Regulation Agencies such as the Better Business Bureau. You should check on any complaints that may have been filed by consumers and whether or not it was satisfactorily resolved. In most cases this can be done online at the agencies web site.

They must have very good products and or services to promote. No matter their claims, if no one finds it useful no one will buy. On this note beware of any "opportunity" where you have to buy-in before you know exactly what you will be getting for you hard earned cash. As you can imagine there are many of these out there with a slick sales letter but absolutely no mention of what the product or service is.

There must be a reliable support system in place with training and good leadership. Any program that just hands you the material and expects you to just figure it out on your own isn't worth your time and money.

Paychecks should be sent out on time and at least once per month. Some home based business opportunities make you wait until your account reaches a preset limit before you get paid. Others let you choose your own limit and or frequency, you be the judge of what is acceptable for your individual needs.

Longevity is most important, so they should have been in business for at least three years. The scammers and con-artist usually cannot stick around this long with any individual program. They pack up and leave to return with something new. If a company is around this long on the internet I would say they must be doing something good.

I must also add here a simple rule to follow; if it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't. We've all seen those ads with claims such as you can make $8,000 a day or in a few hours, just a little common sense goes a long way with these. While I'm not saying that it's impossible to make thousands of dollars a day, it's impractical to think it will just happen over night.

Any home based business venture you get into will take time and effort; there will be a learning curve. Anything worth doing is worth doing right, so take your time and learn the ropes. There is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme or we would all be millionaires.

Have you ever thought of purchasing a quality bed for your dog? Dogs also enjoy the comfort of a quality bed, just like we do. A dog bed provides warmth, support and a sense of security to your dog. Providing a bed for your dog certainly means more to them than we would think.

When shopping for other items for your dog such as a leash, food, collar or a bowl, a quality dog bed must be at the top of your list. Providing a comfortable bed for your dog is far more important than cost.

Some of the advantages of providing a quality bed for your dog include:

Insulation: A quality bed protects your dog from both the heat of the summer, and the cold of the winter.

Personal Space: A dog bed will give your dog his or her own personal space. Your dog can do whatever it would like to do there. This space will provide your dog with an additional sense of security.

Cushion: Older dogs and dogs with bone or joint problems need to have a bed with a mattress. Special cushion beds are designed for these dogs.

Shed and Dander Control: A dog bed will make it easy for you to clean the shedding and dander of your dog, as most of it will get accumulated in one place. Almost all dog beds are reversible, which gives your dog an extra surface to lie on. It is very easy to clean these beds, you just need to wipe the dirt off with a wet cloth or hose it down outside.

Elements Protection: If your dog spends most of its time outside, it is better to provide your dog with the bed that can be used inside and outside of your home. This bed is strong and water resistant, and also easy to keep clean.

Selecting the Appropriate Dog Bed

Like humans, dogs also sleep in different positions. Measure your dog before purchasing a dog bed, and add five inches to it, so that your dog can rest in his or her favorite lying position. If it is not possible for you to measure your dog while it is lying down, then you can measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Then add five inches to this measurement.

Before purchasing a dog bed, think which one will suit your dog the best, while keeping in mind that it is going to be his or her favorite resting place. Low quality dog beds are easily torn and are not durable. A good quality dog bed is not only durable, but it will also protect your dog from diseases, as you will be able to keep it clean easier.

If you have ever been through hard times (haven't we all), you were probably given advice by so many different people. For many life situations, there often seems to be as many opinions as people giving advice!

We are all products of our experiences. Emotions and judgments are really the result of "where we were when". The values we were taught as kids, the life experiences that we have had as well as current situations all come together to form our perceptions of reality.

Fitness and nutrition are no exceptions. Take any cross section of people, say 100, and ask their opinion on a particular fitness idea, and you will probably get 100 different opinions. This is the dilemma I see often with clients. Many, before I see them, have spent a period of time "trying out" this diet or that workout plan because it worked for their friend or their sister gave it to them and so on.

My favorite example of this is my last long term partner (spouse) used to be asked for fitness advice because he was fit and married to a fitness instructor! He had some good ideas. He knew what worked. for HIM.

What works for one person may not work for another. Why? Physiologically, the science is pretty much the same. For optimum fitness and health, we all need a combination of resistance exercise (muscles and bones), aerobic exercise (cardiovascular, lungs), stretching (joint health) good nutrition (fuel) and enough sleep (rebuild). The trick of all this is the how to get these things and enjoy it.because enjoyment leads to motivation.

Let's say that Aunt Sally walks with a group 4miles, 3 times per week. She eats a healthy diet of lean protein, veggies and fruit and goes to yoga class 2 times per week. She loves her "program" which works for her because she loves it. Aunt Sally gets a lot of social time from her workouts, which keeps her going. The time she spends is more valuable to her than just fitness. She rarely misses her sessions.

Aunt Sally eventually convinces her niece Elizabeth, who thinks fitness is a necessary evil, to join her. Elizabeth begins with enthusiasm, but after a month she doesn't feel like she is getting results and starts missing sessions. Why?

If we asked Elizabeth, she would probably say that fitness is "just not her thing and she doesn't enjoy it". But, maybe Elizabeth hasn't found the activities that give her what she really needs beyond fitness. In this case, Aunt Sally meant well, but her "mentoring" was actually counterproductive to Elizabeth's fitness success. Elizabeth has now reinforced her feeling that she doesn't like physical activity.

The same thing holds with "diets" (I personally don't like the term). Let's bring up Aunt Sally again. One day Elizabeth who now thinks that a diet is what she needs since exercise is out, asks Aunt Sally if she could help her lose weight with a diet. Aunt Sally gives her the diet book that got her started on the road to healthy eating.

When Aunt Sally read the book, she knew that the diet was very strict with types of food and timing of meals. For her, it was great to have a structure to follow. It was all so organized, as she liked all things in her life.

Elizabeth, on the other hand, tried to follow the diet exactly as recommended. Within a few days, she was very frustrated because she felt that dieting is just too difficult and inflexible. She decided that dieting doesn't work and she just needs to "cut way back" on the amount of food she was eating. This is good except that most of the food she is eating is nutritionally empty to begin with! Now she's hungry and inadequately nourished.

Elizabeth would be better served by learning about and following sound nutritional principles rather than following a rigid diet plan. It's just not her style.

Are you having trouble starting or sticking with your fitness plan? Here's an approach to get you thinking.

1. Look inside.

What drives you? What makes you happy? Why do you want to be fit? Why do you want to eat right? What activities do you enjoy doing (both physical activities and other hobbies)? Are you a social person or do you prefer to be alone? What are the limiting factors in your lifestyle? How much time do you want to devote to fitness? What type of job do you have? Do you like changing your activities often or do you prefer a more predictable routine?

2. Look outside.

What resources are available? Do you have sports activities you might enjoy available? Is there a gym close by? Is there a dance studio close by? Are there organized events like fun runs you could train for? Can you find books on the subject of fitness and nutrition? Do you know any fitness trainers or coaches?

3. Put it together.

A good fitness plan includes the elements of: muscle strength, joint flexibility, aerobic (heart, lungs) training, sound nutrition and rest. So, pick out the activities available to you that you like and see if the combination gives you all the elements in this list.

Elizabeth, when she goes through this process, is surprised to figure out that there are some fitness activities available she would enjoy. She knows she is social, wants to keep generally fit and healthy, has time after work, needs organized activities and likes variety (why Aunt Sally's program didn't appeal to her)

Elizabeth's program looks like this: 1 day per week, join a football (soccer) league (aerobic) 1 day per week, yoga class or Tai Chi (flexibility, muscle, mental focus) 1 day per week salsa dancing class (aerobic) 1 day weight training (muscle) Some weeks: social dancing on the weekends (aerobic, relaxation)

She's got a good plan.. FOR HER!

Ambassador Leo Wanta's righteous quest to repatriate $4.5 trillion back into the U.S. economy has taken a twisted and disturbing turn for the worse, according to Michael C. Cottrell, treasurer of AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc., the corporation formed to distribute the money to the American people.

Cottrell said James R. Wilkinson, deputy national security advisor for communications, last Thursday signed off on the release of the money being held in a Clearing House Interbank Payment System credit account (CHIPS), an account credited to Goldman Sachs and Co. at Citibank.

Wilkinson and Henry M. Paulson, Jr., secretary of the Treasury, are the only two officials with signature approval over the $4.5 trillion Wanta money, but both have failed to comment publicly.

Wilkinson assumed his post in 2003 after serving as Director of Strategic Communications for General Tommy R. Franks. In his present position, he reports directly to the National Security Advisor and the White House with the specific task of crafting long-term messaging for the National Security Council.

However, according to Cottrell, after Wilkinson officially "signed-off" on the $4.5 trillion, disturbing twists and turns began to take place as the funds never were properly directed into Ambassador Wanta's account.

"We tried calling Paulson a week ago, but his secretary told us, point blank, never expect a call back from him - ever," said Cottrell Wednesday in an extended telephone conversation about the reluctance of the highest officials in the land to release trillions that would benefit the American economy.

Instead, after repeated inquiries, Cottrell learned the Bush administration had deviously devised an illegal plan to defraud Ambassador Wanta and, in turn, the American people by diverting the CHIPS account first to the Deutsche Bank/Berlin and then to two other banks.

Cottrell added this method of "signing-off and then transferring credit accounts" is used by less than scrupulous individuals as a financial smokescreen, giving the appearance the money is being released when, in fact, it is being illegally diverted for other purposes.

"They have been lying to everyone and it is clear they never want to release the $1.6 trillion into the U.S. Treasury. They are simply trying to steal the money and it appears they really want to bring down the economy and the country," said Cottrell, referring to the $1.6 trillion to be paid by Ambassador Wanta in federal taxes generated by the massive $4.5 trillion settlement.

Concerning the specific details of how officials are planning to illegally divert the Wanta money, Cottrell added:

"The process involves applying the credit of the Goldman Sachs chip to Deutsche Bank/Berlin's books. And then Deutsche Bank, through its subsidiaries, using that credit, which is illegal, begins doing a buy and sell on bank instruments, deriving a substantial profit which would eventually come back to one of several U.S. banks, for example, Wachovia.

"To verify this we have been contacted by three different credible sources telling us that this is exactly what's going on behind the scenes with Ambassador Wanta's money.

"But the main thing to remember is that the credit chip ($4.5 trillion) at Goldman and Sachs that's under Wilkinson and Paulson's signatures is specifically tagged for AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc., /Ambassador Leo Wanta and not for any other purpose which would be highly illegal."

In what has become known in international financial circles as one of the most important and explosive stories in the history of modern banking, the Wanta settlement has been the subject of a Bush administration cover-up ever since Ambassador Wanta entered into an official written agreement in November 2005 to repatriate money for the betterment of the American economy.

Further, in May Wanta verbally agreed to the distribution of the $4.5 trillion with President Bush along with the assistance of one Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) court judge and two U.S. Supreme Court Justices.

The settlement, also negotiated with the help of two major U.S. law firms, represents only a portion of the $27.5 trillion offshore fund established at the end of the Cold War, which is now under the legal control of Ambassador Wanta, as duly appointed trustor, a position given to him by former President Ronald Reagan.

Furthermore, it was always the intention of President Reagan and Ambassador Wanta to use the money for the benefit of the American people. But after Reagan left the political spotlight, Wanta was indiscriminately and illegally jailed by operatives working for the last three presidential administrations, who have instead pilfered the trillions for their own agenda and personal gain.

After Wanta's release from a Wisconsin jail in 2005, he was instructed in a 2003 memorandum opinion by Federal Judge Gerald Bruce Lee of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, to try and return the $27.5 trillion to U.S. coffers according to President Reagan's instructions.

The $4.5 trillion settlement is a culmination of his efforts after finding a dark and ominous financial trail of theft, bribery and deception, discovering in his quest to retrace the whereabouts of the offshore money that much of it had been stolen or diverted for private use by the last three presidential administrations.

Wanta also discovered, to his dismay, that a CIA disinformation campaign had been waged, spreading false rumors of his death, making it easier for those criminals inside the government to abscond with trillions.

To date he has provided the Arctic Beacon with documentation of more than $745 billion in stolen funds, including accounts leading to Bush. Sr., Neil Bush and former President Clinton. Wanta added that, at the time he entered into the settlement in May, he had further identified upwards of $2 trillion in stolen funds from accounts under his control, keeping the documentation as financial leverage in case the $4.5 trillion settlement falls through.

And since President Bush was notified in writing of the settlement in July, observers claim his "false American colors" have come shining through as he placed an immediate illegal hold on the money in an effort to protect the "financial dike from exploding" and the criminals in government being exposed, instead of doing the right thing and injecting an immediate trillion dollar boost into the American economy.

Regarding the possibility of a release of the much needed Wanta funds, Cottrell pointed to Sept. 7 as a date to watch. He said this date is important as the Chinese government has verbally backed Wanta's repatriation efforts, linking it together with earned investments owed the Chinese by the U.S. in the amount of $32 trillion.

After learning of the Wanta settlement and the fact the Ambassador was still alive, the Chinese set a Sept. 7 due date for the return of their investment money, long since frozen by U.S. authorities in what has become known as the "China Foundation Money."

"The link between Ambassador Wanta and the $32 trillion owed the Chinese goes back to the days of World War II-Cold War and connections with his Chinese business partner, Howe Kwong-Kok," said Cottrell, who also will appear on Greg Szymanski's radio show, The Investigative Journal, on Thursday at 1pm central at http://www.rbnlive.com and 2pm central at http://www.gcnlive.com to discuss the financial details of the Wanta story. "Out of loyalty and respect, the Chinese have thrown their support behind Ambassador Wanta and have applied added pressure so that U.S authorities release the money.

"It is also interesting that Treasury Secretary Paulson is on his way to China Thursday and we will have to wait and see if the administration does the right thing."

In other related financial shenanigans of an estimated $300 trillion in offshore money at the disposal of Bush Sr. and others intentionally diverting it from the American economy, Cottrell reported that $25 trillion of related offshore funds has been illegally sent to India in order to remove the funds from the immediate spotlight being shone into the eyes of the criminal gangs operating at the very heart of the U.S. Government and its structures.

The India connection, previously reported by Christopher Story of the International Currency Review of London, detailed the sophisticated money laundering scheme aimed at defrauding Ambassador Wanta, foreign governments owed money under the Reagan Cold War protocols and, of course, the much maligned American people.

"Specifically, the proceeds of these fund-washing operations are placed back onto the books from which funds were diverted, with the self-enrichment profits being transferred to India in the form of bonds. The key perpetrators of these continuing frauds include the President and Vice President of the United States, George W. Bush and Richard Cheney, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, Dr Ben Bernanke, the Secretary of Defense, Mr. Donald Rumsfeld, and also two successive Secretaries of the Treasury (John Snow and Henry M. Paulson).

Story continued: "Without going into excessive detail, the illegal operations have the effect of laundering U.S. dollars, including American taxpayers' funds of course, off the books, in collaboration with corrupt foreign officials and elected leaders with the crooked, illegal proceeds being placed back onto the books where 'holes' created by previous organized financial scams need most urgently to be plugged.

"These ongoing frauds, sanctioned at the highest levels, enable past giga-financial scams to be covered up while holders of high office participate in successive fraudulent transactions off the books with corrupt foreign counterparties lodging their illegal untaxed profits offshore. The attitude of the criminals involved is that the purpose of holding high office is self-enrichment, rather than serving the US nation and the abused American people."

Besides the Wanta settlement and Chinese money owed, under the Reagan protocols Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico and Spain are involved, having a special interest in the way U.S. authorities handle the Wanta settlement and the offshore money since they are due to be paid $5 billion each. In addition, $30 billion is payable to the Russian Federation.

Asked about the impending worldwide ramifications if the U.S. fails to meet its commitments, Cottrell said:

"The ramifications are, one, that the Chinese will pull the plug on all their credit chips and, two, that all the banks will also withhold or not deal with any transactions that involves the U.S. government.

"In other words, the long term financial ramifications are that the U.S. would become insolvent and go into bankruptcy as the economy comes tumbling down unnecessarily on the American people."
